Supporting Medical Travel Access for Canadians in Need

PAL Airlines, alongside the subsidiaries of the PAL Group of Companies, was proud to participate in the inaugural Haul for Hope event at St. John’s International Airport, an exciting national initiative in support of Hope Air, a charity committed to providing free medical travel for Canadians who need to access care, far from home. 

Haul for Hope is a unique and high-energy event held across seven Canadian cities, where teams compete to pull a 60,000-pound airport firetruck a distance of 75 metres. In the name of raising awareness and funds for Hope Air’s mission to ensure equitable access to healthcare, regardless of where you live or your ability to afford travel. 

PAL’s team of 12 employees proudly raised $3,500 and completed the firetruck pull in just 58 seconds, earning a third-place finish at the St. John’s event. It was a powerful display of teamwork, grit, and community spirit—all in support of a cause that touches lives across the country.
