Supporting What Matters
Community support at PAL Airlines is driven by a team that genuinely cares. These efforts aren’t based on a policy—they come from people who want to make a difference where they live and work. Whether it’s volunteering, fundraising, or pitching in to support local events, there’s a shared goal: to help communities grow stronger.
This commitment has led to ongoing recognition across the regions served, and has helped build lasting relationships with local groups and charities.
Kids Eat Smart Foundation NL
In Newfoundland and Labrador, 1 in 4 children head to school without breakfast. The Kids Eat Smart Foundation is working to change that—providing over 47,000 meals every school day through 275 clubs across the province. That adds up to more than 6.3 million meals each year.
PAL Airlines and Air Borealis are proud to be the provincial presenting sponsor of the Feed the Kids Campaign, kicking things off with a $100,000 gift. Part of this support has been directed to breakfast programs at A.P. Low Primary School in Labrador City and Peacock Primary in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
The partnership goes beyond the donation—it also includes volunteer time and fundraising efforts, all focused on helping kids start the school day nourished and ready to learn.
How Support Is Delivered
Flight Voucher Donations
In-kind flight vouchers help charities and non-profits cover essential travel needs that might otherwise be out of reach. These donations make a big difference for groups focused on health, education, and community wellness. Past recipients include Kids Eat Smart NL, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Janeway Foundation, and many more.
Vouchers are valid for one year from the date they’re issued and must follow specific booking guidelines.
Cargo Space
Cargo donations help get important items where they need to go. From wish packages and holiday gifts to supplies for community events, donated cargo space supports a wide variety of great causes.
Monetary Donations
Financial contributions are also made each year to support a range of charities, organizations, and local initiatives focused on making life better for those in the communities PAL Airlines serves.
Ongoing Partnerships
Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador
Each year, over 2,000 young athletes travel to compete in Hockey NL’s provincial championships—and many of them do so with help from PAL Airlines. Flights are coordinated in partnership with Hockey NL and local associations, making it possible for players from across the province to take part, compete, and create lifelong memories.
Festival Innu Nikamu
Held in Sept-Îles, Quebec, Festival Innu Nikamu—which means “The Innu Sings”—is a major celebration of Indigenous music and culture. It plays an important role in preserving tradition, fostering connection, and drawing people to the region.
PAL Airlines supports the festival by helping bring artists, audiences, and excitement to the community—amplifying the event and its impact throughout the network.
